ethereal oils has a direct influence on our sense of smell (also Olfaktion called). If the flavour of an ethereal oil is inhaled, attractions arrive at the olfaktorischen receptors. This impulse is passed on to the limbische system, the feeling center in the brain. The limbische system has also connections to the parts of the brain, which are responsible for memory, respiration and blutkreislauf, as well as to the endokrinen glands, which adjust the hormone mirror. The characteristics of the oil, the smell and its effect, energize these systems. In our bath line the ethereal oils work doubly: over the skin and the respiration.
